Jakes Cuban Bread!

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons active dry yeast (the packets in the store)
1 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
2 cups lukewarm water
6 cups flour, approximately

Directions:

Dissolve the yeast, salt, and sugar in one cup of water.

Begin to mix the flour in the other cup of water in a large bowl.  Add the dissolved yeast, salt, and sugar in the large bowl and continue to add flour.  Knead thoroughly.

Place the dough in a greased bowl and let rise for an hour in a warm place.

Divide into two large balls and place on a greased cookie sheet.  Cut a cross across the top of each ball.  Let rise for five minutes.

Place in a cold oven above a large bowl of boiling water.  Set the oven to 400 degrees and bake for thirty-five to forty minutes.  Rotate the cookie sheet 180 degrees, and each loaf 90 degrees, after approximately 20 minutes.

Enjoy.  Recipe is best served with a bottle of wine or glass of whiskey ;)
