Homemade Light Brown Sugar






1 Cup of white granular sugar
1 Tablespoon of molasses

( If you want dark brown sugar, add 2 Tablespoons of molasses to each cup of sugar)

Combine ingredients in a mixing bowl and beat.  It took about 5 minutes until it was all incorporated.  Use or store in air tight container.


 

Making brown sugar was super simple because I always have white sugar and molasses as staples in my pantry!  Since the recipe called for 1 1/4 cups of brown sugar,  I adjusted the measurements and made what I needed.  Fresh brown sugar anytime I need it!
