White Whole Wheat Walnut Bread!

Time for a new recipe! AND I added a picture this time! :) This recipe calls for 3/4 cups finely chopped walnuts, but I omitted the nuts and just made the bread. I think I'll try adding the nuts sometime though. What I liked about this bread is that it calls for just a little bit of sugar and oil. Very healthy. :)

2 teaspoons instant yeast or 1 pkg
1 1/3 cups lukewarm water 105 degrees
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 tablespoons brown sugar (white sugar works well also)
3 cups King Arthur White Whole Wheat Flour (or you can substitute 1 1/2 white & 1 1/2 whole wheat flour)
1 1/14 teaspoons salt
3/4 cup finely chopped walnuts.

Put the yeast, sugar and 1/3 cup of the water in a bowl and let sit for 15 minutes. It will get all nice and bubbly. Then add the rest of the water, oil, little salt and the flour 1 cup at a time till you get the consistency that you want. Let it raise for an hour, then put it in a loaf pan and raise again.
Bake 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

WOW! that looks so yum! we'll have to try it out :D

UPDATE:  I finally made this bread with the walnuts.  It was so tasty that I'll continue to add that extra crunch every time I make it!
Walnuts!
