Delicious Scones!







Ingredients

3 cups flour
1/3 cup sugar
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt (i used like 1/4)

3/4 cup cold butter

1 cup buttermilk (i added in maybe 1/4 cup more? the dough was too dry for me.)

1/4 cup white chocolate chips (optional) you can also add more if you'd like. original recipe called for one cup.  I felt like that was too much!

1 cup frozen raspberries

Directions

In a large bowl mix dry ingredients with a whisk.  

add 3/4 cup butter with either pastry blender to cut in.  I didn't have one so I used two knives.

pour in buttermilk and stir in just until moist.  

Add in chocolate chips. 

Add in raspberries. gently!

mix until a ball of dough forms.  Don't over mix!  roll into a circle, about a 1/2 inch thick.  Cut into triangles.  (i cut each triangle in half on one tray--and then kept some big.  doesnt matter!)

Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar.  

Bake at 425 degrees for 10-12 minutes.  (closer to 12-13)

SOOOOO YUM!!! I will be trying with blueberries next i think ;)
