Cake
1 Package Devils Food Cake Mix
1 Small package chocolate instant pudding mix
1 cup sour cream
4 eggs
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup oil
mini chocolate chips (optional) Cake is good with our without chips.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour pans. I used 6 inch pans here for a tall cake or you can use a bundt cake pan.
Mix the ingredients together. Bake at 350. For deep pans 3/4 full, bake 40 - 50 minutes or until done. Allow to cool in the pan 10 minutes before placing on wire cooling rack.
Chocolate Icing
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
- 2/3 cup Hershey's Cocoa
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Melt butter. Stir in cocoa. Alternately add powdered sugar and milk, beating to spreading consistency. Icing will harden when dry.
Add small amount additional milk, if needed. Stir in vanilla. About 2 cups frosting.
*This was Kelly's Birthday Cake! The cake is so moist and similar to a Nothing Bundt Cake.
